Pasture Poultry
For egg production we raise Rhode Island Reds (brown eggs), Araucanas ( green eggs), and Buff Orphintons (brown eggs). They eat only certified organic feed, fresh grass that they have access to all day long organic and vegetable scraps from our garden. They also nest on certified organic hay. Please let us know if you'd like to be an egg customer, we should have a good supply!
Our meat birds are Cornish Crosses. These birds will move from the greenhouse brooder at 3 weeks old and live in "chicken tractors" on certified organic pasture. The tractor is moved daily so the birds can eat fresh grass everyday. And oh, how they love it! They also have a constant supply of certified grains with Fertrell supplements and fresh water. We process the birds ourselves and offer fresh whole birds on that day or they'll be frozen. You can buy our birds here on the farm or at the Farmer's Market starting in June till supply lasts.
